Reiki is a form of alternative medicine that’s considered energy healing.The word “Reiki” is derived from two Japanese words: “Rei” which means “Universal Life” and “Ki” which means energy. During a Reiki session, the practitioner uses light touch (or sometimes no touch at all), and puts their hands in different placements over the client’s seven chakra’s. By promoting the free flow of energy through the chakras, this helps activate the natural healing processes of the client’s body, which can bring alignment and balance. Receiving Reiki treatments can help assist in breaking down energy blocks in the body, promoting mental clarity, enhancing learning and memory, and also relieving stress and pain. Massage Therapy and Reiki are complementary to one another and are known to have a positive impact on connecting the mind and body, restoring physical and emotional well-being, and easing tension.
