Deep Tissue Massage

60 min | $130

90 min | $160

Deep tissue massage is a massage modality that is specifically designed to target chronic muscle pain found deep in the structural sub-layers of the muscles and fascia (a connective tissue). This type of bodywork is highly beneficial when paired with floating. Your massage therapist uses slower, deeper pressure to achieve a feeling of muscular release, while mindfully customizing a wellness plan to suit your body’s specific needs. Though the pressure can be intense, the therapist will be communicative and receptive to your pain scale and make adjustments to pressure. The therapist focuses on easing your pain and creating a space of healing and wellness. Floating for at least one hour immediately following this session is highly recommended to minimize stiffness or soreness.

Your massage therapist uses a side-lying method along with pillows and props.  Relax and unwind. Consult your doctor if floating can be paired with your prenatal massage for added benefits. ***IMPORTANT: Must be in 2nd or 3rd trimester for Prenatal Massage***

Thai Massage

60 min | $150

90 min | $200

Thai massage is an ancient holistic health tradition that dates back 2,500 years. Though it draws aspects from modalities such as Ayurvedic and yogic practices from India and Chinese traditional medicine, it is an art and system of therapy all its own. Traditional Thai massage employs a sequence of passive stretches and compression of muscles and accupressure points to achieve increased flexibility, improved posture, chronic pain reduction, and reduced anxiety and stress levels. As opposed to Western massage modalities, Thai massage is practiced over a mat on the ground, and does not utilize oils or lotions, thus making these sessions fully-clothed. Thai massage has a reputation for being “intense,” however the practitioner is trained to assess your flexibility and tolerance, and to assure you that the intensity of the experience only speaks to the effectiveness of this incredible and ancient art of healing. *It is recommended that clients arrive to Thai massage appointments with stretchable clothing material such as you would wear to the gym, i.e. tights, leggings, sweat pants, etc.
