Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself. We provide towels, robes, earplugs, and everything else you need.
Do I need a swimsuit?
You typically float in the nude, so no swimsuit is required. You will have your own private room for the session.
What if I’m claustrophobic?
You are in complete control of the environment. You can float with the light on or have music playing. Our WAVE Float Rooms are larger than most and don’t feel as enclosed. They provide a great experience for first time floaters and experienced floaters.
Is the water clean?
Absolutely. The highly sterile salt water is filtered three times between each float and is sanitized with hydrogen peroxide and UV light. Additionally, the Epsom salts in the water are a natural disinfectant. The water in a float tank is far cleaner than any swimming pool.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
It is recommended not to shave or wax before. Eat a small meal at least an hour and a half before. Try to avoid caffeine before.
Can I float if I’m pregnant?
Yes. Pregnant women have used floating to relieve stress on their bodies for decades. There is even a special position you can float in that relieves all of the weight of the baby off of the mother’s body. If you are in your third trimester, or have any concerns, please consult with your physician before coming in.
Can I float after I color my hair?
Please wait 2 weeks after dyeing your hair to float. If the dye is set and doesn’t come off on a towel after showering you are good to go!
Can I float with a new tattoo?
Waiting for the tattoo to heal is very important. Tattoo artist/floaters suggest waiting 4-6 weeks for it to heal to reduce any pain and fading or discoloration of your tattoo.
Is floating ‘legit’?
Absolutely! Floating has been around for over 60 years and has tons of published research to back it up. As with any research… the more the better!
Is there an age limit?
All of our services are for individuals who are over the age of 18.
